arched dial with boss inscribed "Marcel Boloquet New Bern", Roman chapter ring with seconds sweep centering boss with two rampant lions, gilt openwork spandrels, brass eight day movement, set in a figured walnut case, with fan carved door, 84 x 18-1/2 x 11 in.
dial generally intact with surface wear and distress, brass movement refurbished or associated, case with repaired crack at door, very minor patch at one hinge, crack at one front molding, shrinkage cracks with some infill to base panel, fan carving likely of a later date. The dial and case are possibly a good match- the saddleboard is original but the case uprights have been extended, making the determination difficult.
