early 20th century, one armchair attributed to the Reverend Ben Davis, Blowing Rock, North Carolina, chip carved decoration and incised leaf and floral carving, arched back with heart motif centering branch with three carved initials "FL?"; together with bentwood example with plank seat, scalloped skirt, and traces of early black paint; two tier stand with traces of grain paint and metal wrapped circular top; largest 46 x 23 x 35 in.
