Chronometer possibly by Lange & Sohne, Germany, late 19th/20th century, unsigned, finely crafted rosewood case with campaign style brass hardware with bail handles at sides, front with inset plastic circle (perhaps base of a name plate), two-case construction, gimbaled suspension, chronometer with steel dial and Roman counters, original case key, 7-3/4 in. old drying split to top of hinged case.
