England, late 19th century, hinged top with deep floral carving around shield with burned motto "ENGLAND EXPECTS EVERYMAN WILL DO HIS DUTY" and on the sides the names of various English victories: "H.M.S. VICTORY 1765", "NILE", "TRAFALGAR" AND "COPENHAGEN"; oval frames on sides hold images including "The Death of Nelson" after Benjamin West, a picture of HMS
Victory, and the death of Capt. CasaBianca's son on the
Orient during the Battle of the Nile, four cut-glass decanters fit into the divided interior, no marks, 11-3/4 x 9-3/4 in. no key, one decanter with frozen stopper, two other stoppers chipped, one decanter chipped on the rim, one decanter with scale inside, some cracks in the wood.
