Seaman's Trunk, Tumbler
19th century, dovetailed box with lift top and single till, blue/green paint, applied wood and braided rope handles at sides, 14-1/4 x 36 x 12-3/4 in., later paint with losses, hinges replaced; with cut glass tumbler engraved "Yacht America", 4 in. . Notes: By oral family tradition, the box was used by a sailor on the yacht America in the 19th century.. Provenance: From a New Hampshire Seacoast Collection
