Candle Stand South Carolina, 1755-1775, mahogany throughout, circular top with batten support on a baluster-turned stand with tripod base, 24 in. top split and repaired with two plugged holes at center, batten replaced, pedestal now inset into batten (Rauschenberg and Bivins note approximately 4 in. of height lost), breaks and repairs to base of pedestal at joint with legs with some areas of infill and color restoration and other distress. top split and repaired with two plugged holes at center, batten replaced, pedestal now inset into batten (Rauschenberg and Bivins note approximately 4 in. of height lost), breaks and repairs to base of pedestal at joint with legs with some areas of infill and color restoration and other distress
