Mahogany Pembroke Table South Carolina, 1790-1800, retains MESDA label, single-board figured mahogany top with two drop leaves and line inlay over a line-inlaid drawer, legs with lily of the valley inlaid patera over line and bellflower inlaid finely tapered legs, back with false drawer inlay and matching patera and bellflower designs, 27 x 21 x 28-3/4 in., opens to 38-3/4 in. restorations to drawer including replaced facing and other possible repairs, front legs with plugged screw repairs at joint with side rails (each leg with two large plugs interrupting lily of the valley patera inlay), other surface wear, scattered minor losses to inlay at edges, later corner braces and some blocking, some later screws, surface stains, abrasions and wear especially at top.
