Chinese, 18th century, standing robed figure, holding fan in one hand a basket of flowers in the other, detailed sash and cords around his waist, 7-1/2 in.

Notes: In 1752, the Dutch ship, Geldermalsen, sank in the South China Sea, having been laden with Chinese export porcelain.  This shipwrecked hoard was discovered in the early 1980s, and was famously auctioned by Christie's in Amsterdam, as The Nanking Cargo.
