Chinese, 18th century, cobalt blue underglaze decoration, diamond pattern band on interior rim, outside of bowl with figure in a landscape with pine trees and hut, round glazed foot, label reads "Christie's, Lot, The Nanking Cargo", 2-3/4 in.

Notes: In 1752, the Dutch ship, Geldermalsen, sank in the South China Sea, having been laden with Chinese export porcelain.  This shipwrecked hoard was discovered in the early 1980s, and was famously auctioned by Christie's in Amsterdam as the Nanking Cargo.
