Devil Jug (Arden, North Carolina, Eureka, Montana 1953-2015), black paint to majority of form, applied facial features including inset white painted eyes with pierced blue pupils surrounded by incised eyelids, thick incised goatee surrounding red painted mouth and lips, two rows of broken china teeth, large well articulated nose with flared red painted nostrils, ears, and incised eyebrows, curved white painted horns protruding from spout base, applied strap handle from head to spout rim, inscised on base “Brown’s Pottery” and “RB”, 23-1/2 in..
