Boston, circa 1740, both retaining dry old surfaces and original brasses, aprons with acorn drops, white pine secondaries, 29-1/4 x 30-3/4 x 18-3/4 in.; the high chest 70 x 38-1/2 x 20-3/4 in.

Note: Per Philip Bradley notes, the high chest and dressing table were both originally owned by Colonel Thomas Marshall (1719-1800) of Boston, Massachusetts, who married Lucy Allen (1727-1794) of Gloucester, Massachusetts in 1759, thence by descent to Thomas Marshall II (1781-1863) of Weston, Massachusetts, nephew, to Elizabeth Marshall (1817-1905) of Weston, Massachusetts, daughter, to Joseph S.B. Knox Jr (1852-1884), of Boston, son, to Elizabeth Knox Campbell (1883-1986), of Weston, Massachusetts, daughter, to Elizabeth Campbell Wood (1910-1976), of Medford, Massachusetts, daughter, to Elizabeth Wood Davis of West Newfield, Maine, daughter.

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction, or will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
