Connecticut or Massachusetts, circa 1780, exceptional rare diminutive tea or work table form retaining it's original surface, single drawer, notched corners, square-molded legs, x-stretcher, white pine secondary wood, 25-7/8 x 23 x 16 in.

Note: There are some similarities between this table and a square card table with a gadrooned lower border signed by Daniel Clay, Greenfield, Massachusetts, illustrated in Oscar P. Fitzgerald, Three Centuries of American Furniture, 1982, pp. 145-46, fig. VII-20.

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction, or will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. retains a fine original surface with wear overall, pull a possibly an old replacement, some areas of retouch and or refreshing to leg and drawer facing, client files include an August 1991 conservation report by James R.
