John Marshall, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (1755- 1835), a group of ephemera (approximately 27 items) relating to John Marshall including receipts, hand-written documents, a survey, and genealogical information, many of which are about the family land in Virginia, Leeds Manor, dating from 1778, 1814, 1832-1865, one letter from Marshall dated August 2nd, 1816 about Leeds, family Bible dating from 1850 plus five framed facsimile documents (the originals are unframed and included in this collection) measuring from 18 x 15-1/2 in. to 28 x 22 in. (framed), all are in very good to near fine condition, the front wooden boards on the Bible have detached.
