Tournai, France, second quarter 16th century, depicts scene after the hunt is over, dogs eat the rewards from the hunt, and hunter affectionately pets a dog, dog jumps up onto a male courtier, man holds the leash of two dogs feasting on meat, male figures in background possess hunting gear and weapons such as a bow, knife, and a spear, figure blows a horn, man climbs a tree at far left, figures set in landscape with fruited trees and buildings in the distance, border decoration with stylized floral, fruit, and foliate motifs including iris, pears, and apples, 133 x 159-1/4 in. (11 ft. 1 in. x 13 ft. 3-1/4 in.)
