attributed to Coastal North Carolina, 18th century, figured three-board top tilting over a dovetailed walnut box, on a baluster-form support on shaped cabriole legs with carved scrolled returns, legs and feet defined by a central rib, 28-1/4 x 34-3/4 x 33-1/2 in., excellent condition overall, brace for catch at underside of top replaced, underside of top with evidence of previous small braces now removed, feet formerly set with shims now removed, minor separations at joints of legs to standard (base set with iron spider possibly later), chip to carved scroll at one knee.
