Figured Walnut High Chest of Drawers
New England, 18th century, upper case with tiger maple sides and walnut drawer facings, cornice map drawer over four long drawers, lower case with fan-carved drawer, shaped skirt, cabriole legs, pad feet, 70-1/2 x 41 x 22-1/2 in.. Condition: refinished, brasses on lower case replaced, polish residue and finish losses at brasses (while the dovetails, primary wood and secondary woods are a good match, the different brass histories between the top and bottom cases leaves open the possibility that they are a marriage), other scattered minor patches, surface wear and flaws.
