S/N 144459, .45-70 caliber, 25-1/4 in. round barrel, marked "MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER'S REPEATING ARMS CO./NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. PAT. OCT. 14. 1884. JAN. 20. 1885." and "45-70" also proof mark "WP", lever action, checkered butt plate, LOP 13 in., with modern hard plastic carrying case
Included is a copy of the letter from Cody Firearms Museum showing this rifle was received in the warehouse on June 23, 1908, and shipped on December 16, 1909 as order number 240349.
