Vodges/1823" beneath rhyming couplets "This work perhaps my friend, may have When I am in my silent grave...", 24 x 25-1/2 in. period gilt wood frame, 26 x 27-3/4 in.; with accompanying genealogy on Vodges family

stitched to a later muslin covered board, some discoloration to silk threads most notable at periphery when removed from frame, overall fading to embroidered elements, typical minor fraying at edges well concealed by frame; expected chipping and gilt loss to frame
