British, early 18th century, figured walnut set with cross grain oyster veneers, probably lignum, fitted desk interior with seven drawers over three additional drawers, arched skirts and turned legs with stretchers, bun feet, 40-1/4 x 25 x 17-1/2 in. appears to have good integrity overall, typical scattered veneer cracks, flaws, and minor repairs, including restorations and repairs to drawer banding, some losses to leg turnings and one natural flaw at back leg, scattered pest damage to secondary surfaces, some minor losses and pest damage at foot bottoms (feet appear to be original), other typical flaws consistent with age and use, probable repair at one front leg (some later applied color)
