Petersburg, Virginia, attributed to Joshua Cushing, two-case construction, upper case with pitched pediment and central finial over two glazed doors with fixed interior shelves, lower case with pull-out slide over two dovetailed drawers and two paneled doors, paneled back, 98-1/2 x 43-1/4 x 20-1/2 in., pitched pediment and finial replaced (cornice frame appears to be original), door glazing restored, refinished and with some minor fading, minor patches to lower door frames, hinges replaced. Provenance: Descended in the Venable-Daniel Family of Prince Edward County, Virginia and Granville County, North Carolina
