Carved Mahogany Sideboard
attributed to James Woodward, circa 1820, highly figured mahogany veneers, finely dovetailed drawers with poplar secondary, flanked by distinctive carved panels over two paneled lower drawers, each flanked by reeded columns with leaf-carved capitals, beehive turned legs with brass paw feet, one interior cabinet fitted with bottle turnstile, 51-1/2 x 85-1/2 x 25-1/2 in.. Condition: backsplash and brasses replaced, refinished, scattered typical cracks especially to top and lower shelf, bottle turnstile a replacement, other scattered minor veneer patches, repairs and surface flaws.
