.45-70 calibers, serial numbers 300119? and 44821?, both with "Eagles" and "U.S. Springfield" on lock plates, "U.S. MODEL 1884" on breech blocks, "VP" over "Eagles Heads" to left sides of 32-5/8 in. barrels, one with "P", both with "A's" on top of barrel, one stock marked "6", "E", and "35" above "US" stamped butt plates, the other with possible faint inspectors cartouche at side screw, one with Buffington rear sight, both with two barrel bands and sling mounts, one with leather sling, different style cleaning rods, overall 51 -3/4 in.

both with wear, dings and oxidation to barrels, oxidation in barrels, handling wear, dings and scratches to stocks, wear and minor chipping to edges of wood, rifle with sling has large scratch to wood at trigger guard, various chips and wear at butt, other hairlines, loss to wood under lock plate, possible restoration or repair to forend of stock with possible refinish, both triggers and hammers appear to function
