British, 18th century, each with carved crest over pierced splat, one with cabriole legs and ball and claw feet, the other with fluted rear stiles and tapered legs with spade feet, 37 x 23 x 23 in. and 38 x 21-1/4 x 21 in.
Condition
ball and claw foot example with patch at front leg attachments, crack at one side rail, formerly fitted with casters; other lacking upholstery, breaks and repairs at rear stiles with one large patch at back, cracks at splat and wear at top of crest, edge wear to legs, other plugged holes and repairs to rear stiles
