Veuve Perrin, Marseilles, France (1748-1803), slant front box with hinged cover, inkwell and sander, white ground painted with puce harbor scenes and polychrome flowers (most are inside), gilded edges, signed on bottom in puce with conjoined "VP", 4 x 11 in., broken and repaired on right hinge corner of slant front, hinges loose, gilding slightly worn, inkwell slightly rough around top rim; with small footed faience box having two compartments each with its own hinged cover printed and painted with putti, shells, wreaths and rose buds, signed in blue script with conjoined "CA", 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 in., one corner of each cover cracked through, one repaired, the other loose, a few very small glaze chips
