Japanese, late 1940s, attributed to the Sakuma kiln, three vase-formed pots with combinations of turquoise, brown, tan and blue glaze decorated with plant motifs including pine, persimmon and bamboo, 8-1/4 in. to 10 in.. Condition: all good condition. Notes: Prof. Bennett characterized two of these pots as “over-fired” and deserving of a “discount”, an effect that can be seen in the bubbled glaze toward the bottom.
