English, late 19th century, opal cased over colorless over rich red ground, lavishly decorated all over with exotic palm fronds, butterfly carved on reverse, original mounts with sterling screw cap, marks for Gorham, elaborate monogram engraved on cap, 10-1/4 in. silver lid with small dents and wear, tiny chips to bottle.
