Jackson" as Major General, nine lines on one page, hand-written in brown ink on blue wove stationery; framed together with modern reprint of an 1863 portrait of General Jackson by William Garl Browne and a brief biography, 6-1/2 x 5-3/4 in. (letter page); 34 x 23 in. (frame); modern wood frame, letter tacked to mount at corners, not examined verso, toning, scattered foxing, fading, creases, smudges, handling grime; modern print and biography in good condition; frame with abrasions.
