attributed to Piedmont, North Carolina, 19th century, four graduated dovetailed drawers with poplar secondary, original brass drawer pulls and straight bracket feet, rich brown color overall, 37 x 42-1/2 x 22 in., excellent condition, probably original brasses (posts driven through and not removed), very minor losses to tips of spurs at feet, one side with minor sun fading, minor chips and flaws at drawer lips, other minor typical surface wear, stains and flaws. Notes: This chest came from the historic Taylor family home at 915 West 4th Street in Winston Salem.. Provenance: by descent in the Sprunt and Taylor families of Wilmington and Winston Salem, North Carolina

excellent condition, probably original brasses (posts driven through and not removed), very minor losses to tips of spurs at feet, one side with minor sun fading, minor chips and flaws at drawer lips, other minor typical surface wear, stains and flaws
