Five-Drawer Chest
probably East Tennessee or Southwest Virginia, 19th century, line-inlaid drawers with false kite escutcheons, set with a reeded surround and elaborately scrolled skirt, dovetailed drawers with pine secondary, 44-1/4 x 40 x 18-1/4 in.. Condition: brasses replaced (no plugged holes), refinished and with some surface stains and wear (later stains on most secondary surfaces), minor separations at applied moldings, chip at one rear foot, bottom drawer with replaced bottom boards, some edge patches at drawer facings.
