early 20th century bracelet has four carved round cabochon jade, filigree backs, one oval carved jade, clasp is marked "made in china no. 23 silver", 7in. in length, 21.7 grams; ring has, one rectangle carved jade, 28.80 x14.0mm, adjustable size, marked "silver china", 7.5grams; brooch, one rectangle carved jade, 19.5 x 14.0mm, marked "silver", trombone pin, 2-1/2 in. length, 6.5 grams

Note: Lawrence Manning (1877-1935), served as the secretary to William Howard Taft, governor of the Philippines, starting in 1900. These items were purchased by him in Asia and descended in his family.

These items were tested as Jadeite on the Presidium Gem Tester II.

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
