serial number 3350 stamped in four places under frame, .44 caliber rimfire cartridge revolver, six shot, single action, cylinder stamped "...350", three screw frame stamped "PAT. JULY, 25, 1871" and "PAT. JULY, 2, 1872", 7-1/2 in. barrel inscribed "ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMER...", rear sight slot and brass front sight blade, blued finish, walnut grip, overall length 13 in. - Note: Approximately 7,000 of these guns were manufactured between 1872-1873. condition consistent with age and use, finish of firearm with some pitting and rust, scratches and wear to exterior, likely reblued, rust to insides of cylinders, loss of patent stamp on cylinder, wear to "AMER..." on barrel, chip to toe of handle with other minor dings and scratches, firearm appears to function mechanically
