Head and four-quarter of a gray mule, estate stamp lower right "Rosa Bonheur", with the red wax seal of the Vente Rosa Bonheur (Lugt 276) on the stretcher, lot number inscribed on stretcher "193", oil on canvas, 39-3/8 x 31-7/8 in. (98.11 x 76.5 cm.); possibly original gilt wood and composition frame, 49 x 41 x 2-1/2 in.
