(Michigan, born 1940) "Triolet Series No. 2", 1986, furnace-worked glass with murrinies and canes cut and polished, base inscribed "Richard Ritter YC-3086", 8-3/4 x 10 x 8 in., excellent condition. Notes: Richard Ritter was named a "North Carolina Living Treasure" in 2011. The consignor was for ten years a member of the Penland School of Crafts Board, Spruce Pine, NC, and had the opportunity to know many of the glass artists there and watch the creative process. Over numerous years, this consignor took a deep interest in traveling, meeting top artists, some in their studios and homes, others in gallery shows and began collecting important Art Glass in various venues within the U.S.A. and abroad..
