attributed to Southampton, Isle of Wight or Surry County, 1750-1765, walnut throughout, rectangular top with molded edges and cropped corners, above a shaped skirt and canted turned legs and pad feet, 28-1/2 x 28-1/4 x 19 in.Note: The table is accompanied by a copy of a write up from Sumpter Priddy, who notes that "this simple, but sophisticated tea table is from a small group by an as yet unidentified cabinetmaker working in Southeastern Virginia. excellent condition overall, the top with typical minor warping and cracks (some later plugged screws), typical shrinkage cracks to skirt, finish not original but with warm brown color, feet intact with no repairs found (some very minor edge wear)
