Dixon" on top of barrel, dovetail blade front sight, split rear sight, engraved lock plate, brass side plate, double set triggers, brass trigger guard, ramrod, guides and thimble, and butt plate, carved cheek rest, 61 in. overall

Note: Obed M. Dixon signed guns are rare, the 1850 census has him listed as living with William Lamb at age 22 and working as a gunsmith, the 1860 census has him listed as 32 years of age and living near Anderson and J.C.
