Note: Thought to be the only extant portrait of John Bell, this portrait was exhibited at the "By, For, and Of the People: Folk Art and Americana at the DAR Museum" in Washington, D.C. from October 7, 2011 to September 1, 2012 (accompanied by the exhibition loan agreement and insurance of the piece for $25,000).
