Chair attributed to Virginia, 18th century, scrolled arms over solid splats, leather-upholstered slip seat, cabriole legs with pad feet, 32-1/2 x 29 x 27 in.. Condition: excellent condition overall, modern slip seat with period "Russia" leather upholstery, two applied knee returns replaced, minor distress to slip seat support, typical minor wear, abrasions and shrinkage. Provenance: Woody and Nancy Straub, Panacea, Florida; Collection of Anne McPherson and the Late John Bivins, Jr.
