New England, 18th century, maple and other mixed woods, vasiform splat and scrolled hand grips, over-the-rail upholstered seat on cabriole front legs with block-and-turned stretchers, 40-1/2 in.. Condition: refinished, break and repair to one hand grip and one rear leg, patch and repair to one front toe, later seat blocking (not fully examined under upholstery), other scattered nail scars, minor repairs and typical surface flaws.
