Customs and Culture Japanese, late 1940s, seven woodblock prints published by Uchida Printing, Kyoto, relating to eras of Japanese history and customs; prints are in crisp, bright colors and include: Girls Day doll display, Boys Day Koi banners flying over rural homes, Boys Day Samurai display, children playing around Shoki banner, wild stallions in Chinese style, court lady with attendants, and children playing amidst roosters; including original folio paper wrapper with calligraphy describing the series, each print approximately 15-3/4 x 10-1/2 in., (seven pieces). Condition: some toning, faint foxing, minor tears along margins.
