Girandoles
British, circa 1850, each with an embossed metal tablet with a royal coat-of-arms and inscribed "C. Nosotti Carver & Gilder Upholsterer and Cabinet Maker 398-399 Oxford St." and stamped "05582", 43 x 23 in., scattered cracks and chips to gesso and gilding overall, scattered losses and repairs at leaf tips, one lacking bellflower pendant to apron, scattered surface wear and rubbing to gilding. Notes: C. Nosotti probably refers to Charles Andrea Nosotti who is recorded as a carver, gilder, upholsterer and cabinet maker from 1835-1840. He later exhibited a cabinet in the 1862 exhibition and received a commission from the Countess of Waldegrave for Strawberry Hill..
