Chinese, 18th century, cylindrical tea pot with swan neck spout, resting on three feet, possibly pewter, covered with encrustations, 6-1/4 x 7 in., missing handle and lid, surface consistent with salt water exposure, encrustations; small pottery storage jar, remnants of green glaze, 4-1/4 x 5-1/4 in., surface consistent with salt water exposure, encrustations, roughness to edges

Notes: In 1752, the Dutch ship Geldermalsen, sank in the South China Sea, having been laden with Chinese export porcelain.  This shipwrecked hoard was discovered in the early 1980s, and was famously auctioned by Christie's in Amsterdam as the Nanking Cargo. Â
