probably New York, mid 19th century, with rose and leaf carved cartouche, frame centering a needlework and petit point panel depicting Jesus and Mary Magdalene, on pierced carved pedestal base with carved scroll feet, probably rosewood and mahogany, 78 x 41 x 31 in.

generally good, screw repairs at back of joint of screen to pedestal, break and repair at one ankle, needlework in very good condition, scattered very minor losses and repairs to carved elements, dark stain makes clear wood identification difficult
