Piedmont, North Carolina, probably Davidson County, circa 1800, MESDA documented, figured walnut with poplar and yellow pine secondary, banded and line inlaid graduated dovetailed drawers with comma, inlay, and original brass pulls, inlaid teardrop escutcheons, depicting doves and inscribed "peace", drawer flanked by barber pole inlay, some inscriptions in red carpenter's pencil, 42 x 37-1/4 x 19 in.

very good condition overall, appears to retain original brasses, typical minor cracks and repairs to drawer banding and beading, minor pest damage at backboards with some edge losses and later nailing, original feet and most blocking with scattered minor repairs (raised on later risers, wear and veneer losses at front toes, one rear foot with one inch face patch at toe, some cracks and distress at front brackets), thin strip of veneer/beading below lower drawer replaced, other typical scattered surface flaws and very minor repairs
