Carved Mahogany Sideboard Salem, attributed to William Hook, circa 1800, three drawers over two cabinet doors with rosewood banding and two cellaret drawers with bird's-eye maple banding, original brass pulls, each with dividers for four bottles, banded inlays, dovetailed construction with white pine secondary, top with outset corners, leaf-carved and reeded legs, 39-3/4 x 55-1/2 x 22 in. some warping, cracks and stains to top with typical cracks and later bracing at underside, doors with cracks and minor warping, losses and distress at escutcheons, distress at rear case dovetails and to brass pulls, one small loss to banding, typical minor repairs and surface flaws.
