Condition: toning, foxing and some fading. Notes: This watercolor is similar to illustrations for the poem entitled "Two Lovers and Lizette" in [Bandanna Ballads], Doubleday, Page & Company, New York: 1904, page 46 and for the same poem in [Shadows on the Wall], M. Stolz & Company, New York: 1898, pg. 7; This lot is accompanied by four books by Maria Howard Weeden including: [Shadows on the Wall], 1898; [Songs of the Old South], 1900; [Old Voices], 1904; and [Bandanna Ballads], 1904; all are in very good condition except [Shadows on the Wall] which is good only, boards detached, water damage.
