Whatman/Turkey Mill" watermark, sheet 25-1/2 x 38 in.; modern gilt wood frame, 34-1/8 x 46-1/2 in.ÿNote: This fine impression was purchased directly from the family of John James Audubon in 1850 by the city of New York. It was sold in 1985 to benefit the Reference and Research Fund of the Municipal Archives of the City of New York. This lot is accompanied by the Certificate of Provenance issued and signed by Edward I. Koch, Mayor of New York City, New York, with seal and dated October 1985.This lot isÿcomparable in color to the one from the Sachsen-Meiningen Collection, sold by Christie's New York: The June 25, 2004, lot 231 for $89,625 (premium). - Provenance: Family of John James Audubon, purchased by the City of New York in 1850; Private Collection

strong color, retains the binding edge at top, hinged in, some fly speck at top right, toning at edges of margin, some restoration to lower left corner and couple other tiny areas at edge
Purchased items not picked up in Richmond by noon on Sunday will then be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
