American, late 18th century, saber with 28-3/8 in. blade with long fullers and decorated with etching of flowers, leaves, eagle and [E Pluribus Unum] on ribbon, pommel in form of eagle head, brass scabbard with two suspension rings, 33-1/2 in. blade bright but with numerous edge nicks, silver-plating worn on scabbard and guard, scabbard dented, scabbard with 1/2 in. split near mid-length.
