Newport, possibly John Townsend, 1790-1800, figured solid mahogany top over deeply shaped front and side skirts, solid mahogany rails, corners set with fan inlay on fluted square legs, maple and pine secondary, 28-1/2 x 31-1/2 x 15-1/4 in., opens to 30-1/2 in. lacking one corner bracket, other three probably replaced, wear and abrasions to legs, shallow vertical crack at one rear leg, some wear and abrasions to legs.
