Herzog" with artist's fabric label verso stretcher with number "258", oil on canvas, 22 x 30-1/8 in.; fine gilt wood and composition cove molding frame,. Condition: original stretcher and tacking edge, scattered light retouch; frame with some losses to gilt surface. Notes: In both the 18th and 19th centuries, McCall’s Ferry was a prominent crossing on the Susquehanna River. Located in Lower Chanceford Township, York County, Pennsylvania, it served travelers on the leading highway connecting Philadelphia to both the South and the West.
