36 in. octagonal to round barrel, lock plate marked "HARPERS / FERRY / 1818 and (eagle)", barrel stamped at breech "US" and "J??" in separate ovals, hinged brass patch box to right side of stock, brass butt plate, firing mechanism apparently works properly, single dovetailed front sight
Note:loss to wood at butt plate, heavy flash pitting, corrosion to ramrod, replaced nipple,
